OCCUPATION: Personal Trainer/Admin Assistant (Accounting & Financial Planning)

 SPORT: Female Bodybuilding

YEARS COMPETING: 3 years

BREIF DESCRIPTION OF YOUR SPORT: Female Bodybuilding is a sport which requires a lot of committment, sacrifice and discipline in order to get your body lean enough to display good muscle definition.  You are also judged on overall body symmetry.  You need to be very organized with meal planning and training, which then helps in every day life.

The competition side of Bodybuilding involves presenting your physique on stage to be judged against other physiques. This is done in two compulsory rounds, Symmetry (relaxed stance) and Muscularity (mandatory poses), where all competitors are judged in a variety of standard poses.  Here the judges score the overall shape of the body and the degree of definition (leaness) and muscularity (size).  There is a 3rd round in bodybuilding where competitors individually perform a routine to music where judges score who best displays  their  physique as well as entertaining the crowd.

Training for bodybuilding involves weight sessions in the gym (to grow muscle), usually 5-6 days per week and daily cardio to help strip bodyfat.
